SYDNEY, September 10th, Cake.Shop, an ad tech startup founded by experienced industry executives, has partnered with carbon measurement platform Hiili to enable brands to measure the environmental impact of their digital advertising campaigns. 

The partnership delivers simple carbon emission reporting to the Cake.Shop demand-side platform offering, by tracking every digital ad impression across every platform, and then enabling brands to optimise in real time and select low carbon emitting supply paths.

The Madrid-based company was born out of an academic research venture in Spain, and also enables brands to measure the energy consumed by AI services and products. The company is a joint venture between Spain’s Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and veterans from the media and advertising industries. It’s platform enables brands to easily connect their ad server, DSP, chatGPT, social media accounts for a complete overview of a brand’s digital carbon emissions, including methods for optimization.

The Hiili platform gathers granular anonymized data and delivers simple and secure access to a brand’s carbon footprint. The company also enables brands to measure the energy consumed by AI services and products.

The Cake.Shop Sustain solution will house the Hiili carbon measurement offering, alongside its process management, auditing, and other measurement tools.
